Sukin Certified Organic Rose Hip Oil

I am pretty much a black and white person. There is rarely a gray in my opinion, impression, day, plan, etc. I either want something or I don't. The same with cosmetic products. I either like something or I don't. This might be the first product that I've had a love-hate relationship with. And to top that, this relationship has been going on for almost a year!

Ja sam u suštini "crno-bela" osoba. Retko se desi da postoji siva u mom mišljenju, utisku, danu i planu. Ili nešto želim, ili ne želim. Isto važi i za kozmetiku. Ili mi se nešto dopada ili ne. Moguće je da je ovo prvi proizvod s kojim imam odnos ljubav-mržnja. I povrh svega, ovaj odnos traje skoro godinu dana!

I won this oil in a giveaway on Trishie's blog Under Lock And Key, sometime last year (I think it was September) and it arrived shortly before my trip to China. I was so excited, that I took it with me and got lost in testing it until, well... now.

Ovo ulje sam osvojila na Trišinom blogu Under Lock And Key, negde prošle godine (mislim da je bilo u septembru) i stiglo mi je pred odlazak u Kinu. Bila sam toliko uzbuđena, da sam ga ponela sa sobom i izgubila se u testiranju ulja sve do, pa... sada.

In a nice pink box, came a lovely see-through, brown-tinted glass bottle of 100% organic certified rose hip oil. The bottle holds 50ml of preservative free, 100% vegan oil.

U lepoj roze kutiji, stiglo je 100% organsko ulje šipka u lepoj, providno-braon staklenoj flašici. Flašica sadrži 50ml 100% veganskog ulja koje ne sadrži konzervans.

Ingredients/Sastav:

ROSA EGLANTERIA (ROSE HIP) OIL

The applicator is a little dropper (pipette) that servers as a measure and has a little ball-shaped end which is ideal for massaging the area around the eyes. Two to three drops are enough to cover the whole face, so this oil will last a long long time. Considering how we get (or don't get) along, maybe that's not a good thing. :)

Aplikator je mala kapalica (pipeta) koja služi i kao mera, a na vrhu ima završetak u obliku kuglice, koji je idealan za masiranje predela oko očiju. Dve do tri kapi su dovoljne za celo lice, pa će ovo ulje trajati dosta dugo. S obzirom kako se mi (ne) slažemo, možda to i nije tako dobra stvar. :)

The oil is an ochre color and the scent is mild. It reminds me of linseed oil. The oil glides on the skin and absorbs quicker if you apply it on wet skin (as it should be). Unfortunately, it doesn't absorb everything and it leaves that oily residue on the skin, so it's not really ideal for daytime use. I use it as a part of my nighttime routine because my skin is normal to oily in certain places and I don't need it to be even more greasy during the day.

Ulje je oker boje, blagog mirisa. Podseća me na miris lanenog ulja. Ulje klizi po koži i brže se upija ako ga nanesete na vlažnu kožu (kao što bi i trebalo). Nažalost, koža ga ne upija u potpunosti i ostaje mastan sloj na koži, pa to baš i nije najidealnije za tokom dana. Ja ga koristim u noćnoj nezi kože, jer mi je koža normalna  (masnija na nekim delovima) i ne treba mi da bude još masnija tokom dana.

The greasiness mentioned above wouldn't bother me so much if my skin and the oil would actually work together. Unfortunately they rarely do. Sometimes I apply it and the skin "drinks" all the oil, the next morning my skin is soft and firm. On other days the same thing happens, but when I apply this oil on the second evening, the results are completely opposite and I regret applying it in the morning. There were a few times when this oil calmed down the breakout I had on my skin, but there were times when the oil actually caused it. I really don't know what to think! I keep using it on occasion and try to figure out when exactly my skin needs this oil and when it's too much.

Gorepomenuti mastan sloj mi ni ne bi toliko smetao, kada bi se moja koža i ovo ulje zapravo slagali. Nažalost, to se retko dešava. Ponekad nanesem ulje i koža ga bukvalno "popije", a sledećeg jutra je mekana i prijatno zategnuta. Drugim danima se desi isto to, ali kada ga nanesem druge večeri, rezultati su potpuno suprotni i zažalim što sam ga uopšte mazala. Nekoliko puta se desilo da mi je ovo ulje smirilo situaciju na licu, ali se dešavalo i da istu prouzrokuje. Zaista ne znam šta da mislim! I dalje ga povremeno koristim i pokušavam da dođem do zakljućka kada je mojoj koži potrebno ovo ulje, a kada je previše.

Sukin products are free of SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulphate), SLES, synthetic fragrances, animal derivatives, harsh detergents, propylene glycol, artificial colors, triethanolamine, mineral oils, (Disodium) EDTA and parabens.

Sukin je kompanija iz Australije, koja vodi brigu i o okolini, a u ponudi ima oko pedeset prirodnih proizvoda. Suki proizvodi ne sadrže SLS, SLES, sintetičke mirise, životinjske derivate, jake deterdžente, propilen glikol, veštačke boje, trietanolamin, mineralna ulja, EDTA i parabene.

Even though my opinion is on a seesaw considering this oil, I would recommend you try it, because I believe that this is just a thing between my face and the little bottle. :) I've already made a wishlist of some other Sukin products that seem like a good choice for me, so I will give these products a few more chances. Iako je moje mišljenje o ovom ulju na klackalici, preporučila bih vam da ga ipak probate, jer verujem da je ovo samo do moje kože i ove bočice ulja. :) Drugi Sukin proizvodi se već nalaze na mojoj listi želja, tako da ću ovom brendu definitivno dati još šansi.
